Ser Jacopo: Picta Magritte Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Silver (S2) (C) (9) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4290

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but his workshop carries on his legacy. One of Guidi's greatest passions, other than pipe making, was procuring fine art. Ser Jacopo's Picta series pays homage to iconic art pieces, and this particular pipe was inspired by Belgian surrealist René Magritte's painting Landscape in the Moonlight with Painting (1950).

Despite hailing from Ser Jacopo's creative Picta series, this bent Dublin exudes traditional appeal. The bowl's flared walls angle slightly forward and are poised atop a supple heel that fits snugly in one's hand. Furthermore, the shank sweeps upward from the heel, its rounded form tapering as it ascends to a broad silver band that boasts a detailed carving. From there, the jet-black acrylic stem manifests a high-kicking posture, promoting comfortable smoking. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a rustic sandblast, save for the nomenclature on the shank's left flank, which features a blonde smooth finish.
