Ser Jacopo: Rowlette Rusticated Canadian (E) (Maxima Maxima Maxima Maxima Maxima) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4325
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but his workshop carries on his legacy. This five-time Maxima Canadian from Ser Jacopo possesses an extraordinarily lengthy profile, even for the traditionally elongated Canadian shape. The protracted oval shank and the short tapered stem comprise most of the nine inches of length of this piece, while the bowl presents a height of complementary proportions. The bowl's cylindrical walls rise nearly three inches from the flattened underside to the broad rim, and they showcase Ser Jacopo's stunning Rowlette rustication, which mimics the appearance of melting wax.
