Ser Jacopo: Sororibus Two Pipe Set (L2) (A) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4326

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but his workshop carries on his legacy. A rare offering from the Pesaro atelier, this Sororibus two-pipe set consists of a Billiard and its bent counterpart. In Latin, Sororibus means "sisters," and it is easy to see the familial inspiration in these two pipes. Both consisting of tall, tapered bowls that are paired to slender shank-and-stem arrangements, the compositions are nearly identical save for one's straight profile and the other's sinuous silhouette. Additionally, they are both dressed in warm, honeyed, smooth finishes, highlighting handsome grain on each piece.
