Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Bulldog (S2) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4327
Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but his workshop carries on his legacy. This Bulldog by Ser Jacopo possesses particularly conical walls, which flare from a flattened underside to a broad waistline, adorned with dual beadlines, before sharply tapering to the rim, giving this piece an exceptionally architectural charm. Out back, the short shank features crisp ridgelines on its flanks, which flow onto the sleek tapered stem, creating a sleek profile. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a chestnut-stained sandblast, highlighting wavy growth rings and rugged outcroppings of birdseye.
