Since its founding in 1982, Ser Jacopo has become one of the most recognizable and iconic pipe brands in all of Italy. Under the watchful stewardship of founder Giancarlo Guidi, the workshop developed a style that has since come to define the Pesaro shaping aesthetic. Each Ser Jacopo pipe is imbued with a whimsical sense of character that reflects the brand's creativity and playful spirit. This Maxima-stamped bent Apple by Ser Jacopo boasts a broad bowl that stands atop a full, ample heel and grows thick, insulating walls, with these walls arcing upward in a subtle taper that rounds out the form and produces a comfortable in-hand feel. Said bowl is set to a thick diamond shank and a demurely curved tapered stem — the former lending the shape a structural rigidity in profile and the latter lending a touch of curvature to the form. Dressing this piece is a crisp sandblast that highlights healthy grain across the stummel.
