Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Freehand Sitter (S2) (C) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4363

Ser Jacopo was founded in the 1980s by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This Freehand by Ser Jacopo possesses a flattened heel, which makes this pipe a stable Sitter with a forward-tilted posture. Furthermore, the bowl displays several subtle facets that rise upward to a broad, flat rim, which merges seamlessly with the shank out back. Also, the bowl's aft begins an arcing profile that rises into the square-shaped shank and slender saddle stem, contributing to the composition's sleek appeal. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a crisp, auburn-tinged sandblast, one which reveals dense bands of rippling grain cascading down the stummel in angular fashion.
