Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Billiard (S1) (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4367
Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. This Billiard from Ser Jacopo is one of the marque's more reserved offerings, though it retains a bold Italian character through its proportions and presentation. The bowl stands tall and upright, with straight walls reaching high from the heel and gently tapering toward the flat rim. A rounded shank lifts slightly as it transitions from the bowl, carrying a subtle taper as it meets a stem of similarly tapering cumberland. Dressing the stummel is a crisp, inky sandblast that draws out rippling growth rings around the bowl, with the shank end, rim, and nomenclature panel finished with a light, smooth stain.
