Ser Jacopo: Calumet Spongia Sandblasted Cavalier with Silver (S3) (D) (2) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4375

Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. In lieu of the Cavalier's removable foot cap, this rendition from Ser Jacopo instead leverages the form's distinct shape for a striking, unique design. Seen here is a more horizontally inclined interpretation, featuring a squat, plump bowl perched atop a continuous stretch of shank, its subtle, arcing posture evoking a look inspired by North American indigenous pipe design. Framing the shank are two silver fitments at the foot and shank end, each engraved with an elegant diamond pattern for a stylish touch. Ser Jacopo's Spongia dresses the stummel in a rugged, earthy sandblast complete with a light, warm stain.
