Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Bulldog (S2) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4388
Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. This Bulldog from Ser Jacopo showcases a strong sense of momentum. The bowl stands tall with a slight forward cant, its sturdy walls flaring high from the firm, pointed heel toward a high-set pair of beadlines, which then mark a taper to the rim. A muscular diamond shank transitions from the bowl and subtly tapers toward a sleek saddle stem, the pair lending the fore of the composition greater visual weight for a thoroughly Italian neoclassical character. Dressing the stummel is a rugged sandblast with warm undertones peeking out from beneath.
