Ser Jacopo: Rusticated Dublin with Silver (R1) (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4423
Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. Poised atop a flattened heel, this Dublin from Ser Jacopo employs design cues from the classic Poker shape to make for a practical, sure-sitting pipe. The bowl stands pert and upright, its walls reaching high from the heel and gradually flaring toward the flat rim. Further balancing the composition is a sturdy Foursquare shank out back, adorned with a silver accent band as it meets a sleek saddle stem of jet-black acrylic. Dressing the stummel is a distinctive rustication: the briar's craggy surface is framed by fine perforations along the rim and ridgelines, and the underside wears a smooth finish, all of which is enveloped in a rich, walnut stain.
