Ser Jacopo: Picta Picasso Sandblasted Bent Billiard with Silver (S2) (C) (22) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4426

Ser Jacopo's Picta collection features pipes designed after those depicted in classic paintings — and in this particular case, the work of Pablo Picasso. This 22" bent Billiard from the Picta Picasso series is based on the pipe the Spanish painter can be seen smoking in a self-portrait from 1904. In silhouette, this offering is quite a faithful interpretation of the one depicted in Picasso's painting, but it's not until it's seen in person that this pipe can truly be appreciated: The bowl curls forward from out of the tightly knit transition and displays some noticeable cheeking, a shaping cue that nods more toward Danish pipe design approach than Italian. It suits this piece wonderfully, and with plenty of chamber depth housed within, you'll have ample time to fawn over it during those lengthy smoking sessions. An engraved sterling silver band adorns the shank, brilliantly standing out against the jet-black stem and the stummel's earthy sandblast.
