Ser Jacopo: Picta Miro Sandblasted Billiard with Silver (S2) (C) (08) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4434
The late Giancarlo Guidi, founder of Ser Jacopo, was an avid art collector and enthusiast. So much of an enthusiast, in fact, that he created the Picta line — a series inspired by pipes featured in the works of major artists like van Gogh, Miro, and Magritte. This Picta Billiard takes inspiration from Joan Miró's work. As a shape, it features a gently flared bowl that stands at the fore of a paneled shank and a slender tapered stem. A sure-Sitter, this piece boasts the confident posture of a Poker, but with the angularity of a Bulldog, making it an intriguing and dynamic composition. A crisp, earthy sandblast dresses the ensemble and highlights healthy grain across the bowl's flanks, while an accent of sterling silver adorns the junction and ties the shape together with a dose of flash.
