Ser Jacopo: Historica 2020 Pulchra Sandblasted Bent Apple Sitter with Silver (S1) (25) Tobacco Pipe

The Historica line from Ser Jacopo explores and modifies shapes from its past three decades, bringing back to life shapes from its history but with modern modifications. Such a concept has resulted in this dramatically stylized sitting apple. Dressed in a two-tone sandblast, this pipe sits sturdily on a flattened heel, poised with a swanlike profile, with a mahogany-flecked amber stem that rises vertically before curving gently. This stem is married to a silver band around the shank, flanked by a ring of the same acrylic behind it. While the rest of the stummel almost looks like the classic bent Apple shape, the bowl is instead curved up and backward, placing the rim and chamber nearer to the shank end than the waistline. This imbues the pipe with a quaint downward momentum, as if falling onto its heel. The stummel is dressed in a dark sandblast, revealing growth rings across the bowl's flanks.
