Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Hawkbill (S2) (A) (Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4475

Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. A bold, full-bodied piece, this "Maxima" stamped Hawkbill from Ser Jacopo presents a hearty physique within compact proportions, making for a particularly stock interpretation of the shape. The bowl boasts a plump, palm-filling figure, formed by thick, rotund walls curving from heel to rim. From a defined transition, a stout, aquiline shank arcs out back and joins to a subtly downturned saddle stem, the pair granting a trim profile to the composition. Dressing the stummel is a dark, crisp sandblast with warm undertones, revealing rippling growth rings wrapping around the bowl.
