Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Paneled Rhodesian (S2) (B) (Maxima, Maxima) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-171-4482

Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. Boasting a hefty physique, this double "Maxima" stamped Rhodesian from Ser Jacopo fills the hand effortlessly. This piece's strapping bowl is framed by eight crisp facets at the base, with thick walls flaring broadly from the sweeping heel toward an undulating ridgeline at the waist, wherein the facets terminate as the walls show a smooth taper toward the rim. Out back, a round, muscular shank lifts out of the transition from the bowl and joins to an arcing saddle stem, the arrangement lending considerable length to the composition. The stummel wears a dark, crisp sandblast with warm undertones, offering a wealth of tactile detail for the hand to appreciate.
