About This Pipe
This hawkbill is diminutive, by Ser Jacopo's standards, and the fifth pipe featured in Giancarlo Guidi's homage to the pipes portrayed in the paintings of master Vincent Van Gogh, specifically "Self Portrait with Pipe", which was created during the Paris period, Spring of 1886, and now hangs in the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam. The hawkbill shape is simply perfect, reflecting the wild, barely constrained beauty of Van Gogh's art itself. The shank is adorned with a splendid wedding ring of sterling silver; one of those small touches that seems to add so much to the totality.
