Ser Jacopo: Jucunda Sandblasted Volcano (S2) (A) Tobacco Pipe

Since its founding in 1982, Ser Jacopo has become one of the most recognizable and iconic pipe brands in all of Italy. Under the watchful stewardship of founder Giancarlo Guidi, the workshop developed a style that has since come to define the Pesaro shaping aesthetic. Each Ser Jacopo pipe is imbued with a whimsical sense of character that reflects the brand's creativity and playful spirit. This Volcano from Ser Jacopo features the ridgeline-wrapped base and taper from the rim that makes the shape so recognizable. It's a bold, hearty form that packs plenty of muscularity in the bowl as well as in the wide transition that flows seamlessly into a firm, paneled shank. The saddle stem of jet-black acrylic arcs off the shank end, continuing the paneled motif and lending the piece an extremely slender bit, as the base almost immediately slips into its saddle. Dressed in the crisp sandblast and warm auburn stain of Jer Jacopo's Jucunda series, this piece showcases handsome grain throughout and is a striking and bold piece that certainly feels like an Italian Volcano.
