Ser Jacopo: Jucunda Sandblasted Bent Dublin (S2) (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4512
Ser Jacopo was founded in 1982 by legendary pipe maker Giancarlo Guidi. The workshop cultivated their signature Pesaro style, which delights in dramatic flourishes and whimsical stylings, even more so than the already playful Italian tradition. Sadly, Guidi passed away in 2012, but Ser Jacopo carries on his legacy. This bent Dublin is a compact pipe thanks to its tight-knit overall shaping, and it comes in at less than five inches long overall, still embodying a respectable amount of heft for the hand to appreciate. A tall, flaring bowl expands out of a rounded heel and cants forward dynamically as the wide transition gives way to a thick, tapering shank. Said shank lifts to meet a smartly curved saddle stem, offering a comfortable smoking posture that does well to balance the weight of the piece. Part of Ser Jacopo's Jucunda line, which translates from Latin as "Delightful," this pipe is dressed in a rich, auburn-tinged sandblast nicely complemented by the black acrylic stem.
