Ser Jacopo: Sandblasted Bent Billiard Churchwarden (S2) (A) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4543
Founded in 1982 by Giancarlo Guidi, Ser Jacopo has built a reputation for crafting high-quality briars that are renowned for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has since defined the Pesaro style of pipe making, each of their pipes imbued with a sense of character and reflecting the whimsical creativity that went into crafting them. Ser Jacopo isn't necessarily known for their Churchwardens, though they make handsome renditions of them, as this bent Billiard can attest to. At more than nine inches long, this pipe boasts a shank and stem poised in a steep, comfortable arc, the shank itself lifting out of a wide transition to meet the stem's sleek taper of black acrylic. The stem's posture allows its bit to rise and crest over the rim easily, balancing the presence of the bowl by virtue of its impressive verticality. A firm, muscular heel supports the bowl as its walls take on a cylindrical travel to the flat rim, the walls' ample presence showcasing handsome grain beneath a ruddy sandblast.
