Founded in 1982, Ser Jacopo is now one of the most influential and iconic pipe brands throughout Italy. Founded by Giancarlo Guidi, this workshop is responsible for creating Pesaro shaping and working with high-quality briar to create whimsical and flamboyant pieces that lean heavily into the classic Italian style. This bent Billiard is an impressive piece, as it's part of the workshop's Maxima series, being stamped a single time with the designation to mark it as a larger piece than normal from the Pesaro carvers. Possessing a sitting posture and capacious tobacco chamber, this piece is also a great desk pipe and an ideal option for multitaskers. Shape-wise, this bent Billiard falls in line with the shape-chart standard, showcasing a cylindrical bowl married to a high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement. The inky mouthpiece pairs well to the rich rusticated finish along the stummel, which provides ample texture to the briar's surface.
