Ser Jacopo: Leonardo Delecta Sandblasted Billiard with Silver (S2) (E) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-4587
Leonardo da Vinci, at the request of King Louis XII of France, designed a pipe that would not get hot to the touch, resulting in a twin-walled piece that had a metal inlay surrounding the tobacco chamber, with occasional punctures in its top to allow hot air to escape. Here, Ser Jacopo has created a design inspired by what da Vinci crafted hundred of years ago, stealing from the very best, but still making a design distinctly their own. This bowl of the hearty Billiard is palm-filling it its size, dominating much of the visual weight of the piece and boasting a firm, slightly pronounced heel in neoclassical fashion. Regal bands of silver on the shank end and base of the stem add a classy accent to the stummel's ruby-hued complexion, while also complementing the smooth rim's metal inlay.
