Lasse Skovgaard: Sandblasted Bent Dublin
Product Number: 002-327-0559
Carefully treading the line between whimsically organic and fantastically refined, this bent Dublin from Lasse Skovgaard is certainly evocative, but that is, of course, no surprise for the talented carver. He does, historically, have a penchant for the sort of lively shaping showcased at the rim of this muscular bent Dublin, the likes of which imbues this fellow with the distinct resemblance to a toadstool, or a perhaps even a fellow wearing a rather playfully-perched beret. As for the grain, there is plenty of it, and of the particularly well-oriented, ringed variety, terminating in a display of birdseye that fills the surface area of the aforementioned wavy rim. A gorgeous piece from Lasse here.- Daniel Bumgardner
