Forward of profile with a good bit of visual weight at the bowl, this Cutty shape from Johannes Rasmussen of Suhr pipes is a splendid take on the age-old archetype. It sports a great bit of bulbous curve at the bowl's aft, further accentuating the shape's gesture, and the ever-so-slight downward curve of the shank and stem offer a gentle complement, all the while bolstering that aforementioned sense of gesture just a slight bit. It wears a handsome, low-profile Danish sandblast, the dark texture complemented by a brilliant purpleheart accent at the shank's end, guiding the eye to its long jet-black stem. Excellent stuff.
