Tonni Nielsen: Smooth Bent Dublin with Boxwood
Product Number: 002-192-0326
Though more on the bowl-centric end of things for Tonni Nielsen's shaping style, this bent Dublin doesn't exactly fall right in line with his more overtly proportioned fare. Instead, he's managed to fashion a design that emphasizes the form of the bowl on a tactile, rather than visual level. He achieves this by way of a crisp, sweeping ridge, traveling the length of the underside before terminating at the fore. This results in a teardrop-like profile to the rim when viewed from above, along with subtle play on asymmetry and a more alert, energetic look overall. Finished in a lovely dark walnut stain, Tonni's opted for the look of pale boxwood as a stem base to dress the composition splendidly.- Daniel Bumgardner
