Tsuge: Ichirin Sandblasted Bamboo Dublin with Silver
Product Number: 002-099-4536
I suppose it was only a matter of time before Tsuge presented us with a briar the design of which emulated the traditional Japanese kiseru, and well, that time is now. Long, slender, light and elegant, I'd say they did a fine job of capturing the aesthetic essence of the traditional kiseru, despite a bowl of briar requiring stouter walls than the (typically brass) originals. Similarly, they've kept the chamber very small, as like those of kiserus, which are used to smoke very fine-cut shag a few pinches at a time. If you ever want to try traditional Japanese tobaccos, the Ichirin will be well-suited to the task, and it certainly looks to have all the makings of a particularly fine pipe for folded flake, too.
