Tsuge: Tokyo Smooth Cherrywood with Bamboo (552) Tobacco Pipe

Tsuge has here taken the typically straightforward Cherrywood shape and remade it into something entirely exotic, expressed through an arching, forward-stretching bowl, slender transition, and of course, a single knuckle of proper bamboo, tipped with quite a slim, tapered-tenon stem. From a practical approach, it sits well, the "foot" is unobtrusive, leaving the smoothly-formed bowl comfortable in hand, and the tobacco chamber is quite deep. It's a long, lean, artfully-balanced, and subtly naturalistic design that will certainly enhance any collection it joins.
