Tsuge: Smooth Billiard with Bamboo

Product Number: 002-099-8093

Featuring two knuckles of bamboo between the shank and jet-black mouthpiece, this bold, straight Billiard from Tsuge is an especially organic take on the classic shape. Popularized during and after World War II, the medium was used then in lieu of briar, which was hard to obtain. Nowadays, bamboo is more often used in artisanal pieces, but Tsuge offers them in handsome designs at more wallet-friendly prices, despite the labor-intensive process. In this pipe, the stummel is dressed in an inviting auburn stain, contrasting the texture and hue of the bamboo.
