Tsuge: Urushi Camellia Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-099-8267

Urushi is an art form with history. Its literal meaning "lacquer picture" is an art form dating to the Jōmon period over 9,000 years ago. The specific process that created this colorful straight Billiard, however, has been practiced for around 10 centuries. Modern connotations of the term can either refer to the incredibly durable lacquer created from the sap of the Asian sumac or to the totality of the completed art/product itself.

Taking anywhere from months to several years, it's a time-consuming process, involving multiple steps and a great deal of curing time to realize such a beautiful form — making this straight Billiard quite the unique addition to your rotation.
