Tsuge's "552" design is a dynamic, nicely balanced take on the Cherrywood shape. A fine Sitter, the bowl displays a strong forward cant, the implied motion countering the gracefully arching shank-and-stem combination. Lending an additional organic aesthetic is a pale bamboo shank extension, contrasting the stummel's dark sandblast as well as the jet-black mouthpiece. Whimsical, deep of chamber, and pleasantly textural, this pipe is loaded with tasteful appeal.
