Tsuge: Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Bamboo (362) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Japanese marque Tsuge is well-known for their bamboo-fitted renditions of classic shapes, one of which happens to be this bent Dublin, a fairly stout, squat iteration of the shape. The stem here is a lither, demurely curved saddle affair that meets a single, thick knuckle of bamboo at the junction, the dense grass extending the trim shank. Balanced at the end of this shank and growing from a rather wide transition is the bowl, presenting with a broad rim that sits atop walls with just a hint of flare about them. Dressing the briar here is a dark, earthy sandblast that reveals handsome grain throughout, its dark hues contrasted sharply by the pale bamboo.
