Tsuge: Smooth Bent Dublin with Bamboo (9mm) (362) Tobacco Pipe

Muscular and subdued, this bent Dublin from renowned Japanese marque Tsuge showcases their skill in fitting shapes with bamboo, a single knuckle of the dense grass seen here extending a trim shank. This knuckle is flanked on either side by twin rings of black acrylic, the one near the transition continuing the rhythm of one of the natural divots in the material, extending this into the briar. A trim, demurely curved saddle stem is married to the extension at the aft, while, from out of the transition, rises a squat, stout, gently flaring bowl, its walls resting atop a firm heel and its rim sloping in toward the chamber. Dressing the briar here is a vibrant auburn stain that reveals some handsome grain, all while contrasting starkly with the bamboo and black acrylic.
