Tsuge: Capito Smooth Egg Tobacco Pipe

Founded in 1936, Tsuge is a storied marque and Japan's premier pipe factory. Tsuge produces a wide range of stylish pipes, from traditional shape-chart standards to more organic, Danish-inspired pieces, but their Capito series is especially striking, as it pays homage to the Falcon pipes popular in the mid-20th century. Each pipe in the series features a threaded briar bowl and a metallic heel and shank, meaning the entire composition can be easily disassembled for transportation and cleaning. The metallic shank is shaped to mimic the appearance of bamboo, fitting within the more organic, naturalistic end of Tsuge's shaping spectrum, and it's topped with a vulcanite mouthpiece. This particular offering from the series presents an Egg-like bowl that's been treated to a smooth, smoky finish.
