If you're in the market for a travel or pocket pipe, but have been hunting for something decidedly unique (compared to, say, the traditional army-mounted straight Billiard), you may want to have a gander at this Vauen Pocket. At first glance, it appears to evoke the look of the top of a rather pastoral walking stick (or some sort of wooden flask), with a muscular presentation that just begs to be fiddled with in hand, and a dividing line that serves as the mortise/tenon junction, swiveling to reveal the bowl within. As for the stem, though not appearing to be the traditional variety made for clenching, it's certainly durable, with the whole thing flush with the taper of the shank itself. The entire stummel is covered in a rich, red walnut sandblast, highlighting an excellent display of blasted birdseye and ring grain about the stummel.
