Vauen: Pipe of the Year 2020 Smooth (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Each year Vauen presents a new, singular design to represent their limited-edition Pipe of the Year series, which consists of elaborate, handmade pieces that showcases the craftsmanship of the German marque's talented artisans. For 2020, Vauen chose this flowing bent Egg design and features a paneled shank that contrasts that gentle, supple curves of the bowl. The shank's firm ridgelines add some sturdiness to the piece's in-hand feel while supporting the bowl's lifted, gestural stance. A rich, auburn contrast stain showcases the briar's grain handsomely, while a bright metal band adorns the shank-end to match the inlaid sterling silver crossed pipes logo along the stem's topside.
