This "172" bent Billiard from Vauen boasts a tall, thick-walled bowl that cants at the fore of an upturned shank and a gently curved mouthpiece of jet-black acrylic. The bowl offers plenty of chamber within its insulating walls, and it features a bold, slightly bulbous heel that gradually tapers upward toward the flat rim. The shank-and-stem arrangement's reaching posture provides a comfortable smoking posture and adds a touch of fluid grace to the composition in profile, offsetting a bit of the bowl's muscular build. It's presented in the glossy, chestnut-hued Castor smooth finish, which here accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar rather brilliantly.
