Vauen: Castor (138) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Cauldron is a seldom-seen shape and when it makes an appearance, it's usually crafted by an Italian pipe maker, making this "138" from German marque Vauen a most welcome addition. Forward leaning and rather robust, this pipe is a sure Sitter, thanks to its flattened base. The bowl is cinched just beneath its pronounced and flaring beveled rim and is paired to an upwardly curling shank-and-stem arrangement, the slight downturn of the saddle mouthpiece counterbalancing the bowl's cant. It's dressed in the striking, glossy and ebony-hued stain of Vauen's Castor line, with three bright metallic rings along the shank end and stem base adding further elegance to this handsome piece.
