This "550" Apple from Vauen marries supple, voluptuous shaping and structured facets, with the plump, low-mass bowl framed by softened, Danish-like lines and a chamfered rim. It's poised at the end of a rounded shank and tapered stem, with bright metallic accents along the shank end and base of the mouthpiece lending a refined disposition. As part of the Topas line, it's dressed in one of the German marque's earthy, well-executed sandblasts, highlighting the briar's handsome growth rings and adding plenty of textural appeal.
