It's possible, if not probable, that you've never heard of Brandis Industrial Design, though the multiple award-winning firm has quite the expansive portfolio. Their work ranges from high-end computer cases and bicycle helmets, to vacuums and hearing aids, all of which are imbued with their sleek, distict, modern aesthetic, marrying form with function. They've also designed this pipe from Vauen, a successor to their previous design in the Vauen Tube , which features a thick band around the middle of the bowl made from a composite ceramic material, whose array of slanted fins and heat-resistant properties keep the pipe cool in the hand. Though indeed a Billiard, the shape is markedly more bulbous thanks to the futuristic material included, and its all-white finish gives the piece a sleek, handsome, modern aesthetic.
