Vauen: Edison (175) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-457-7984
Germany's largest and oldest pipe making marque, Vauen's history dates back to 1848 and comprises decades of innovations such as the 9mm pipe filter, something the majority of their pipes still utilize today. The brand's Edison series is named after American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, and it takes inspiration from arguably his most impactful advancement: the light bulb. Edison's early examples of the light bulb utilized carbon filaments to achieve incandescence, rather than the more contemporary tungsten, and to celebrate this style of filament, Vauen has accented this line of pipes with Carbon in its most modern form. A broad band of carbon fiber wraps around the shank end of this series, its darker hues contrasting the slightly off-white color of both the stem and stummel in this "175" Brandy.
