Vauen: 175th Anniversary Sandblasted (508) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Germany's largest and oldest pipe making marque, Vauen dates back to 1848 and comprises decades of innovations such as the 9mm pipe filter, something the majority of their pipes still utilize today. In 2023, the legendary German brand celebrated their 175th anniversary, a milestone achievement which they commemorated with the 175th Anniversary series. The line comprises six different shapes across two finishes, coming in sandblasted and smooth varieties, and is packaged in a specially designed box printed with an old photo of the Vauen factory. This box comes with both the pipe and a 75-count carton of Dr. Perl Junior charcoal filters which have been individually printed with commemorative text reading "Vauen 175 Years." The pipes in this series are unified by twin plaques on the flanks of the shank — one engraved "VAUEN" and the other "175 YEARS" — and the silver crossed-pipes emblem inlaid into the top of the stem. This "08" Rhodesian is presented in the sandblasted finish: a special finish that further highlights the grain with the addition of a second treatment after the initial stain.
