Vauen: Mamba (5561) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-457-8712

Germany's largest and oldest pipe making marque, Vauen dates back to 1848 and comprises decades of innovations such as the 9mm pipe filter, something the majority of their pipes still utilize today. Vauen's Mamba series is one of the brand's more subtly stylized, understated releases, comprising a number of shapes, all dressed in a crisp sandblast that offers rich texture. The blast itself is a special one, utilizing a three-step process: first, the stummel is treated with a standard blast, after which the briar is stained completely black, all before the raised pattern of growth rings is softly sanded to allow lighter burl to show through against a dark background. Each pipe in the line is then accented with a trim ring of briar that's paired to the base of a black acrylic stem, their lighter tones adding further contrast to the composition. Here the line dresses Vauen's "61" bent Brandy.
