Vauen: Lime (742) (9mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-457-11207
Founded in 1848 by Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Zeiner, Vauen is Germany's oldest pipe factory and the birthplace of the first 9mm pipe filter, an innovation that has since become standard across most of the marque's designs. Revitalized for 2024, Vauen's Lime series is one of the most unique in the German marque's portfolio, utilizing whitewashed oak instead of traditional briar. The whitewashing lends the textured oak a monochromatic color palette that's immediately eye-catching, the visual motif furthered by a practical addition to the shapes within the series: a silicate-based chamber lining that's similar to meerschaum and ensures flavor-neutral smoking capabilities. The series is represented here by Vauen's "42" bent Apple.
