Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Reverse Calabash Freehand

While Werner Mummert certainly hasn't shied away from wild experimentation in regards to the shaping potential of the reverse-Calabash theme, here he offers us a bit of a throw-back to some of the first pipes to use a cooling and condensation chamber in their shank. The result is an unusually organic piece for Werner, but a fine example of the kind of designs that helped nab wider attention for the reverse-Calabash in the first place. As you can see, the mirrored-bowl theme also allowed him to show off all the more of this particular briar's ring grain.
