Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Pot

Werner Mummert only makes his stems from high-quality German ebonite - but that doesn't by any stretch mean that he limits them to the traditional black or cumberland. Case in point, the piece on this (hellaciously wonderful) sandblasted straight Pot, the color of which Schönberger Ebonite lists as "Nr.12 Strawberry". It's an unusual touch, but it does add quite a splash of color to the composition, contrasting the desaturated look of the black-and tan stain of the bowl and shank.
