Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Cubius Poker

I don't think I need to name the art movement that most likely inspired this "Cubius" Poker design - both the blocky lines of the bowl and the accent work of the shank will no doubt make the stylistic influence self-evident. Along with a considerably flight of fancy when it comes to shaping, Werner Mummert here has also tossed in an interesting display of various grain patterns, each framed by the crisp-edged panels; light, horizontal ring grain along the right, curving concentric ring grain on the rear face, and fine-stranded, smoky flame grain underlying even more ring grain up front.
