Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Bulldog Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-560-0130

Balancing a compact, chubby form with sharp, hard architectural lines, this Bulldog may be more reserved in style than his De Stijl or Reverse Calabash Barrel designs, but there's no mistaking it for anything other than the work of Werner Mummert. The clean panels along the shank and underside offer both stability when resting on a flat surface and dynamism to boot, with a really powerful silhouette in profile. As far as ergonomics go, it's an extremely manageable briar — measuring just a hair over four inches in length, with an overall weight of just under 40 grams. And of course, being a Werner Mummert creation, it's finished in quite a colorful style: with a dark, smoky contrast sandblast for the briar set against a short-throw bit of black-and-mauve cumberland, trimmed with apricot colored vulcanite.
