Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Reverse Calabash Poker Tobacco Pipe

Known for his inventive approach to pipe making and one-of-a-kind designs, Werner Mummert once again flexes his creative muscles with this reverse Calabash Poker. The bowl itself is quite classic: a squat and muscular Poker bowl, stained a red walnut hue. At the shank is where things get particularly interesting. Made of tempered glass, the shank functions as a see-through version of the reverse Calabash's characteristic condensation chamber, enabling onlookers to enjoy the smoke swirling inside. The glass is extremely sturdy and heat resistant, as well neutral — so no need to worry about it imparting unwanted aroma and flavor to the smoke. To make cleaning a breeze, Mummert has attached the shank to the bowl via metal springs, allowing for removal of the shank without fear of misplacing it. Furthermore, it makes for quite a striking, Steam Punk aesthetic, merging function and whimsy.
