Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Reverse Calabash Barrel Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-560-0267

Werner Mummert's aesthetic is one which continuously engages the viewer, always pushing the boundaries of what we might expect a pipe to look like and his minimalist Barrel design does just that. Its silhouette is highly reminiscent of a massive cigar but still maintains the chamber, airway, and stem of a traditional pipe. As a reverse Calabash, the "shank" section closest to the stem has been hollowed out, acting as an internal cooling chamber and serving to provide a drier smoking experience. This particular piece has been finished in a low-profile, dark sandblast, with a teal-colored removable cap affixed to the saddle stem at the shank end. If you're drawn to minimalist, functional designs that reflect an artisan's meticulous eye for detail and expert engineering, this Barrel is certainly worthy of consideration.
