Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Reverse Calabash Poker Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-560-0327
Werner Mummert's pipes are highly coveted for their superb engineering and craftsmanship along with the creativity that the German artisan employs when designing and finishing them. This reverse Calabash Poker is another of his iconic shapes, the sturdy-sitting, stout bowl displaying a slightly pinched waistline just above the transition and a gentle angle to the flattened heel. The abbreviated, rounded shank is then seamlessly extended by a reverse Calabash chamber within tampered glass that's designed to promote a cooler, more dry smoke. The clear glass also allows one to enjoy the visual experience of watching wisps of smoke stream through it. It's topped by an abbreviated, hand-cut vulcanite stem adorned with a beautiful hunter green and cream accent band at the base for contrast. Furthermore, one of the carver's lauded sandblasts reveals a startling array of tightly stacked ring grain that's both captivating to the eye and texturally delightful.
