Werner Mummert: Sandblasted Hawkbill Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-560-0330
Germany's Werner Mummert is one of the chief innovators in the art of pipe carving. With decades of experience, he continuously tweaks and experiments with his designs to create the best work possible, and this Hawkbill is no exception. Rendered in Mummert's muscular, angled style, the hefty bowl displays an Egg-like contour, with a defined transition to smoothly curved oval shank, capped with a vulcanite saddle stem, accented with a multi-colored hardwood. The stummel is dressed in Mummert's signature sandblast, revealing defined ring grain in rippling stacks up the bowl and striating the length of the pipe. Stained a warm crimson color, this finely crafted piece is a fine example of Mummert's refined style.
